How Danes Live in the Burbs :: Modern Marietta Home
My absolute favorite part of blogging is the connection it has given me to friends, some of whom I have known for ages and others whom I meet through this wild little social media outlet. Among my newer connections is a lovely Danish family living in my hometown of Marietta. They just recently moved into their new home and I was beyond excited to discover that we share so many of the same tastes, including a blend of modern and traditional, flea market finds, busts, and stacks of magazines. It's like we were separated at birth, raised in separate cities and then swapped places for a while. (It's totally a Parent Trap thing!) Trine and her husband, Peter, along with their beautiful children, have been living in the US for many years now and consider Marietta to be their home.
We did a fair amount of reminiscing about all our favorites that we miss from Copenhagen, but we all agreed that the Burbs of Atlanta are a pretty epic place to raise a family.
Trine let me grab a few iPhone shots of her new home. They haven't put up art work yet or really finalized any of the rooms (she made me tell you that!) but I think it's a pretty inspiring home. Take a peek around Trine and Peter's Modern Marietta Home and let us know what you think! Can you believe this is the burbs? I also hope to share the remodeled home they created together that has been completely gutted from top to bottom and given a makeover that is going to blow your mind!
