Swedish Bohemian in Malmö

Swedish Bohemian | Featured on House of Valentina Ever struggled to translate what you see in a shop into something applicable to your own home?  I know I do!  While we were photographing our Malmö Guide, Niki introduced me to the gorgeous shop, Miloii, which is packed with beautiful homewares and clothing.  When I walk into a shop like this, I feel giddy and happy, but then I start to wonder which piece to buy and how it would look outside the shop which leads me to walk out empty handed a lot of times.

Thankfully, none of us will need to employ too much of our imagination where Miloii shop is concerned because Karolina Vertus, shop owner (and makeup artist and stylist), has opened her home to us so we can see what all those gorgeous finds look like with two girls running around and a husband, too...

GET THE SWEDISH BOHEMIAN LOOK::

Achieving this style is all about the "untucked" look.  The modern edges and lines here and there keep it from running away, but otherwise it's time to let go and live.  Ooh.  I just sounded like a pinterest board.  But it is true!  Here are some of my personal favorites that my US residents might enjoy (just in case your plane ticket to Malmö is in a holding pattern at the moment.)

Definitely choose a Moroccan rug.  Go black and white or choose bold color, if you prefer.

Love leather chairs around the breakfast table, but these tolix chairs are a classic! (& they are on sale!)

Few things are more beautiful than a Moroccan Wedding Blanket (Even in Morocco they are hard to find!)

A Weathered Wood Coffee Table adds instant warmth and patina to any room.

Modern Lighting will keep your look grounded in the present and ease your style into the future.
