12 Flower Books to Feed Your Floral Obsession (Or Create one!)
Every since the arrival of this gorgeous bouquet (which is STILL going strong) I've been obsessing over the idea of floral arranging and cut flowers. I discovered the Alpharetta Flower Market when we purchased florals to coordinate with our Spring Infusion.and I've been freaking out ever since. I realized how much I missed having a local florist the way we did in Europe.
A florist is Europe is very much like a local bakery, which helps you feel a sense of time as the seasons shift and the florals with them. You know it's spring because daffodils and tulips begin spilling out onto the streets.
Pop up florists hint at warmer weather with ferns and greens...
And the week end is signaled by grabbing a nice cut of meat, a bottle of wine, and whatever fills the shelves that day which, of course, becomes the center piece for Friday night's meal.
There is a sense that flowers are as integral to the way of life as bread. One simply must have them in as many forms as possible.
One's mood might very well shift with a single shade delivered in ten varieties...
Of course it is not enough to purchase flowers, but to arrange them is the challenge (or delight depending on how you see it). My library of floral related books has grown exponentially over the last few years in my personal mission to arrange my florals better but lately my wish list seems to only grow. There are SO many great books out there! Here are my top 12 floral book recommendations... do you have any you would add to the list? (Click on each to add to purchase!)
